The headline number, and why it’s rare

The 240 V basis is the bigger story. Most residential portable mats run on a standard 120 V outlet; this cable does not. A 240 V circuit is a different branch-circuit calculation, a different breaker size, and — because this is a permanent embedded load — a dedicated circuit with ground-fault protection under NEC 426, per the manufacturer’s own circuit notes. That cross-check comes from a different-sized system in the same wattage class, not this specific 30 sq ft product, and we’re showing both the manufacturer’s runtime figure and the zone’s electricity rate side by side rather than pretending they reconcile into one house number.
