Who is behind this
Who is behind this
SnowWatt is a small independent analysis desk. We publish under a collective byline, we do not test products, and we say where every figure came from.
The short version
SnowWatt is an independent desk that works out what snow-melting equipment actually does and what it actually costs to run, from published specifications and public climate and energy data. We are not affiliated with any manufacturer, retailer or installer.
Why a collective byline
Pages here carry the site name rather than a personal one. That is deliberate. A named author has to be a real person with real credentials, and inventing one to look more authoritative would be the same kind of fabrication as inventing a wattage — which is the thing this site exists to refuse. If a named specialist joins, their name will appear on the pages they write and nowhere else.
What we will not do
- Claim hands-on testing we have not done. We have never operated any product on this site.
- Print a specification no manufacturer published.
- Let a commercial relationship decide a verdict. See disclosure.
- Give electrical instructions for work that needs a licensed electrician.
